Highball

A highball in bouldering is a tall boulder problem, generally between 15 and 25 feet high. Climbers tackle these without ropes, making falls riskier. Highball problems require strong mental focus and a high skill level to ensure safe landings on crash pads.

Examples

Jeff tackled a highball problem where the boulder stood at over 20 feet. Each move required precision. Sarah climbed a highball route with a crash pad below, knowing a fall from this height could be risky. Tom faced a highball with steady determination, making each carefully calculated move upwards.
