Redpoint
In bouldering, "Redpoint" refers to successfully completing a climb or problem after previous failed attempts. The climber starts from the ground and ascends to the top without falling, using all known moves and techniques discovered in prior tries.
Examples
Redpoint is when a climber successfully completes a route or problem after having practiced it beforehand. For instance, Sarah attempted a challenging V5 boulder problem several times, working out each move until she could link them all together and finish the climb without falling. Another example involves Jake, who spent several sessions at the gym rehearsing the sequences on a new climb. After multiple trials, he managed to ascend the route from start to finish without any mistakes, achieving his redpoint.
