Pinkpoint

In Lead climbing and Sports climbing, "Pinkpoint" refers to making a successful ascent of a route while pre-clipping the quickdraws into the protection bolts beforehand. The climber still leads the route, but with the advantage of already having the quickdraws in place, reducing the time and effort needed to clip in during the climb. This term contrasts with "Redpoint," where the climber clips the quickdraws while climbing.

Examples

In lead climbing and sports climbing, "Pinkpoint" refers to an ascent where the climber clips pre-placed quickdraws into the bolts. Although similar to a redpoint, the distinction lies in the pre-placed quickdraws, making the climb slightly less strenuous. The climber still needs to execute the ascent from bottom to top without falling or weighting the rope. This method is often used to ease the climb and focus on the moves rather than gear placement.
